The Committal Chapel Timbers are up. Early this morning Timber Systems from Michigan were on site with the wood timber structure delivery. With the beautiful blue sky Deacon Jim took these angle pictures around 4pm today. Nichter Construction encased the columbaria to protect them.
The four independent columbaria where delivered and installed today. The marble/granite units shipped directly from the Rock of Ages quarry in Vermont and where installed by Stone Art Memorial.
Tom Kujawa, our K-Arc architect, along with Dave Ward, our cemetery planner, had a great vision. Thanks to John Nichter from Nichter Construction and Northland Contracting for a great job on the Resurrection Committal Chapel back wall and foundations. The deep re-enforced foundations were perfectly level. Tom Koch and his crew from Stone Art Memorial gingerly put the units in place with the help of a 40 ton crane. It was very exciting to see the progress today and how the cemetery expansion is taking place.
