Our 2nd Reading is from a letter of St. John. It begins with a condition. "If God so loved us" -- if this is true, if this is what we believe and what we experience -- then "we also must love one another." It ends with an imperative. What we receive we must share. "God is love, and whoever remains in love remains in God and God in him." Our love must be expressed in our parish, in our families, at work and in school. It finds expression near and far. Today we are blessed to have George "Sonny" Schultz, a parishioner (who has been making charitable runs and volunteering at St. Vincent Mission, David, Kentucky) introduce Sr. Kathleen Weigand, former director and spokesperson of the mission. Sr. Kathleen is a Benedictine Sister who dedicates her life to living with and helping the poor. She is an example of how we can make a difference.
