RCIA Process
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
Annunciation Catechumenate Welcome toAnnunciationof the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church
Our parish name is our mission! With Mary, we joyfully announce: “God with us”
in Jesus Christ. Moved by the Holy Spirit, we strive to create a faith community of
love and hope, of prayer, welcome and service where others will discover in and with
us that Christ is Life!
Would you like to discover with us the life that is Christ? Have you or someone you know ever considered becoming Catholic? Have you ever wondered how Catholics live, proclaim and celebrate Christ’s life? Were you baptized Catholic and never received First Eucharist and Confirmation?
The journey of becoming Catholic is celebrated through the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA).
The RCIA consists of four very unique periods of time each which closes with a rite specific to the aspect of one’s journey in Christ’s life. Time is taken to grow in relationship with Jesus Christ, apprentice in life lived as Catholic, and to explore the teachings and traditions of the Catholic faith.
We are an ongoing catechumenate which simply means our faith community is ready to journey with you whenever God’s Spirit stirs within you to inquire about the Catholic Faith.
If you have any questions regarding a desire to be baptized, become Catholic or complete the Sacraments of Initiation, you are invited to contact: the Annunciation Catechumenate Team
Coordinator: Paula Penepent at email ppenepent@hotmail.com
